I'm still too far behind =P We extolled more of the glorious list of virtues that IS the saint, and are starting to get into his next whacky misadventure, something involving a shifty priest named Eusebius from the eastern part of the city.

I have forgone books for the moment due to the severe trial known as General Physics. That will change in a bit, when I once again pick up Tithe, The Book of Dead Days, The Tombs of Atuan, The Glass Books of the Dream-Eaters, and...what's that last one?

Sadness: the evil Sci-Fi channel is retaining its license on LeGuin's Earthsea, thereby prohibiting Studio Ghibli from releasing their (far superior in every way imaginable) film in the United States until 2009. Why?! Must make effort not to watch Sci-Fi channel ever again. Despite old reruns of Gemini Man, starring Kid Curr--*cough* Ben Murphy as the title character. Suspect task will not be difficult as apartment does not have cable.

This week, in Lives of the Saints

My guy threatened a prefect of Rome with a stupid death, which then occured. Rather than being butchered into little bits, which is certainly what I would have done were I the replacement prefect, he was released back to the christians and made a bishop. Some people have all the luck...

He mediated among the rich and poor people, told off the Pharisees (or at least refused to give them money, I'm not really clear on that point), and, where I am currently stuck, it seems he has a list of every widow and orphan in the city. At this points the clerics are up to something, but I won't know what until I can locate the verb. Curse you, ambiguous syntactical structures!

i am terrible

about remembering to post on ljs. at least about what i read.

Excitement! There is a new Diana Wynne Jones book

Sadness!
